About UsThe University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) provides and educational pathway to health careers at the University of Hawaiʻi. College students receive academic advising, individualized counseling and other support services as they pursue and complete their health degree programs.
UH-Mānoa HCOP assists individuals interested in pursuing careers in the health field by providing opportunities to build a professional and community network with college faculty and students, health professionals, and community leaders. These opportunities include volunteering at health events, participating in mentoring/shadowing activities, and taking a leadership role in implementing various projects. |

The mission of UH-Mānoa HCOP is to build a diverse health work force and a healthy community.
The goal of UH-Mānoa HCOP is to increase the number of health professionals serving in areas of need in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific. It provides an educational pathway for students to pursue health careers within the UH system. The program serves students from socially, educationally, or economically disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as those from other underrepresented groups to develop the skills needed to successfully compete in, enter, and graduate from health professions schools |
